Acting and Performance
My work as an actor has been one part musical theater and two parts physical and laboratory devising with a dash of classical performance, a healthy amount of realism, spattered with spectacles, and topped with a personal passion for stilt-dancing. My current projects (below) weave together my various interests in projects that combine music, dance, character, and auto-ethnographic storytelling.
Performance highlights include the creation of three roles and numerous spectacles with Walkabout Theater Company, performing at the Lincoln Center in New York, the presentation of original work in Chicago, New York City, Boston, and with Double Edge Theater at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Internationally I have performed at the 8th International Theatre Olympics in Delhi and Mumbai, at the Odin Teatret in Denmark, the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards in Italy, the CRICOTEKA in Krakow, the Moscow Art School Studio in Russia, and the Hilton Arts Festival in South Africa.
